About Certa MPS

Certa MPS Ltd was founded in September 2015 by Amanda Kent and Jack Ranson, and has now been trading for more than ten years. The idea from day one was simple: run a friendly company that still had the infrastructure to deliver serious service levels. Approachable people, backed by a real service department, not a call centre.

Amanda brought more than 30 years in the industry, Jack had worked his way up from sales trainee to co-founder. Since then, both have focused on helping clients make the right choice for their business, with a service department that keeps a personal touch even as the company has grown.

Why Certa?

Certain. Sure. Reliable.

The name Certa comes from the Latin certus, meaning certain, sure, determined and dependable. Variations of the word still appear across languages including Italian, Spanish and Portuguese, carrying meanings associated with being sure, correct, reliable and trusted.

For us, that meaning represents far more than a name. It represents the standard we set for our business.

Certa was built around a simple idea: businesses should be able to rely on their print technology without having to think about it.

We want every customer to feel certain: certain that their equipment will work, certain that help is there when they need it, and certain that the advice we give is based on what is genuinely right for their business.

We believe managed print should be straightforward, dependable and personal. That means recommending the right solution rather than simply selling a machine, being transparent about costs, responding when our customers need us, and building relationships that last.

When your printing works, nobody thinks about it. That's the point.

Aida and Boundary Club

Certa MPS is the managed print supplier for the Aida and Boundary Club partnerships, responsible for the supply and maintenance of their print equipment under a managed service arrangement.

Amanda Kent
Primary director
Amanda has been in the industry for over 30 years and is the co-founder of Certa MPS. Focusing on providing a friendly approachable service, making things happen for all clients. Amanda enjoys the country life and looking after her ever growing menagerie of dogs, cats, chickens and a fostered duck.

Jack Ranson
Director
Jack has worked in the managed print industry for over 17 years. Jack started as a sales trainee and has progressed through to co-founder of Certa MPS. Jack's dad also had a successful career in the industry, and Jack has always conducted his business with integrity and trust, which has been the core foundation of Certa MPS. Jack is a family man and frequently, and I mean frequently, enjoys a trip with his family to Florida. In between running Certa and caring for his family, Jack enjoys his love for football, playing for T.D Shipley FC and supporting Chelsea.

Ricky Head
Service Director
Ricky has been with us since the beginning and has been responsible for building our service team, which provides outstanding service. Nothing is too much trouble for Ricky. Ricky is a marathon fanatic and has now completed the Brighton Marathon 11 times. Whilst out drinking, Ricky enjoys dressing up (speak to Jack for photo evidence).
Kevin Jarrett
Head of Operations
Kevin is the man of experience, having been in the industry 42 years. Kevin's invaluable knowledge enables Certa to continue to grow whilst still providing a personal service. Kevin joined the industry through his love for football and started as a trainee engineer. He only took the position for a company car and has never left the industry since. Kev and Louie the lurcher spend their weekends racing, although Louie is more interested in the other dogs than the lure.
Linda Cooper
Operations Administrator
Linda has been with Certa for 4 years and is a crucial member of the team for our clients. Linda has a lovely bubbly personality and cares very much for all our customers. Linda joined the industry 10 years ago after a mid-life crisis, and we were lucky enough that she later joined Certa. Linda loves to organise a themed party whenever the opportunity arises, and is a pro with a balloon arch.
Steve Quinnell
Service Support Agent
Steve has recently joined the team and has been a welcome addition to the service desk. If you have needed assistance over the phone or remotely, you are likely to have heard Steve's dulcet tones. The biggest string to Steve's bow is his knowledge when it comes to a pub quiz, which has been extremely useful on company nights out. In his spare time, Steve enjoys walking and watching motor racing.
Frank Ranson
Head of Waste Disposal
Frank is Jack's best mate, and when he comes to work with dad, he spends all morning snoring whilst everyone is working hard to keep you printing. Frank wakes around lunchtime to clear up leftovers and, after a toilet break, has his afternoon snooze.
